Title: The Seraph
Occupation: Vault Hunter (former Seraph of the Anointed Flame)
Name: Legna Temple
Age: 24
Height: 5 ft. 8 in.
Weight: 170 lbs.
Birth Planet: Nollweir, Promethea (raised on the S.S. Seraphiel, floating in orbit within the El System/ Most active on Elyon, El System and other El System worlds)
Appearance: Legna is of below-average height compared to many men of the same age, however, his athleticism has given him a hardier constitution and peak physical condition. Legna's most prominent, almost effeminate features are his luscious, straight medium brown hair and dark green-gray eyes. Embedded at the sides of his head are small metallic bands, which serve as solar batteries and project solar light behind his head at-will, appearing as a halo with limited energy projection capabilities. Embedded along Legna's spinal column is an even larger solar battery that powers his hard-light wings and shoulder-mounted cannon. Typically, Legna wears his signature navy blue long-sleeved short-jacket, that when buttoned only covers his chest. Underneath it, he wears a tighter undershirt made with a flexible fabric, allowing for him to have freedom of movement. His pants are likewise made of the same, almost stretchy fabric however, he wears boots so that he can maintain a solid footing on the ground. When he digistructs his exosuit, the armor is form-fitted and made of an alien titanium alloy that is exclusive to worlds in the El System and handled only by the Archbishops of the Order of the Anointed Flame. The Exosuit-Angel has high tensile strength and toughness even at extreme temperatures. It is generally light in weight, corrosion-resistant and able to withstand extreme temperatures, thereby making it adapted to almost any environment while providing durability and flexibility for its wearer.

NOTE: Ignore the fact that this is a woman; the wings and armor are akin to what Legna wears once he digistructs his Exosuit.
History:
Legna was born on Promethea, a planet ravaged by warfare, military research and poverty. In the town of Nollweir, the boy then named Legna Masters was often at the mercy of the Atlas Corporation. This fostered a hatred for the weapons and arms manufacturer within the young boy. It came to a boiling point when Nollweir, a dying town wherein more and more were leaving, became a battleground between Bandits and Atlas Corporation. Legna's father, Samuel Wolfhart Masters was the presiding mayor at the time, and attempted to evacuate the town along with what was left of its citizenry. However, a military blockade by the Crimson Lance mistook the citizens of Nollweir for bandits and immediately shot them down in a volley of lead. Legna's father laid warm and bloodied on the dirt.
At that moment, a quad of warriors adorned in armor with hard-light wings and swords, deflected the second (or third?) hail of bullets and drew their blades against the Crimson Lance, cutting them down more quickly than the Lancemen could pull the triggers of their Atlas weapons. The crest on their pauldron was the winged-flame of the Annointed Flame order of knighthood. A man's cry for battle signaled for his three men to rush what was left of the other side of the battlefield; the bandits. Meanwhile, Legna, fearing for his own life, rested his father's warm corpse over his own, feigning death. The man merely nudged the corpses of those that laid beneath him, prompting a young Legna to cry out in anguish. This immediately alerted the man to him, who turned his sword's edge to the lain boy.
Feeling pity for Legna, the man had offered his hand, introducing himself as Paladin Merrick. Once his men returned to him with news of their failure in rescuing any of the Prometheans of Nollweir, Merrick observed that they had infact succeeded: Legna. Legna was the answer to their mission and Paladin Merrick invited him into the Order of the Annointed Flame. Later, he was transported offworld to Seraphiel, the battleship that drifted over Elyon's orbit. It was on Seraphiel that Legna received his training and accepted the habitation name, Temple, in honor of battleship Seraphiel, which was very much that to the Order.
Through a special training regiment, Legna learned how to properly use key cybernetic implants that also served as solar batteries to power the exosuits of the Order. He'd also studied under Paladin Merrick in the arts of swordsmanship and how to properly handle a gun. Along with the aforementioned schools of training, Legna studied in airborne tactics and maneuvering. All this knowledge would turn him into a proper killing machine, however, disciplined by the Creed of the Faith.
1. To upholdeth justice in both peace and war.
2. To defend thee weak and dare thee stout.
3. To provideth for thee who cannot provideth for thyself.
4. To immolate thee enemies of thy Faith.
5. To conducteth thee with honor, gravity and piety.
6. To scorn thee wicked and purge thee devilish.
7. To humble thyself before thee virtuous.
For a while, this Creed helped to shape Legna into a man worthy of trust and recognition. However, as more and more fell victim of the might of the Annointed Flame, it reminded Legna of Atlas and the Crimson Lance; their brutal campaign to dominate the galaxy. Nevertheless, he was made into a Seraph of the Annointed Flame, the most elite unit equipped with the latest solar technologies and entrusted with the secretive combat arts of Order's most senior warriors.
Legna mostly operated within the El System, wherein a Faith War was occurring. Most of his missions had the objective of undermining a cult which had a growing presence within the El System worlds. This eventually evolved into the Chaos Legion; they worked together to collect parts of a “Vault Key” to bring about the rise of The Hunger. Because Saint Walker, the Grand Master of the Order, hadn't taken the threat seriously enough, it arose in the form of a slender, emaciated, raptor-like xenomorphic titan, which devoured planet Athirat's core, resulting in its devastation.
Finally defeating this beast with the help of the Heavenly Host armada and Legna's fellow Seraphim would become Legna's final major mission within the Order. The Hunger was destroyed and the Chaos Legion became scattered and diminished in the El system. When reports of Vault Hunters defeating The Destroyer on Pandora, another such “Devil Lord”, spread into the El system, Saint Walker was too concerned with routing out the remnants of the Chaos Legion. Legna spent over a year hunting down what was left of these Hell Legionnaires in the El system, immolating Bandit Clans in the process. The El system was relatively stable, despite having one less planet. Saint Walker however, was not pressed to action.
Ultimately, Legna abandoned the Order, but clung onto its Creed. He and a squad of Seraphim loyal to him would leave Seraphiel and be branded “Nephilim”, fallen Seraphim, heretics that chose rebellion against the will of the Order's Saint. Legna and the Nephilim would find refuge in New Haven. They did good works, aiding the people and served as paragons of virtue on an otherwise wicked world. This had worked for them, especially with Hyperion's presence becoming increasingly prevalent after Atlas had been weakened. Legna and his men frequently cut down the “Yellow Demons” that were the Hyperion Corporation, their zealous employees and the loader bots produced by them. One of Legna's men reported the presence of a Cherub fighter vessel, and he left New Haven along with his men to confront the threat.
It was Legna's old mentor, Paladin Merrick, now a Paragon, with a squad of his own veteran Seraphim warriors. It was a dramatic encounter, made ever more dramatic by Hyperion's assault on New Haven that would be occurring in the background. Paragon Merrick volunteered to hunt down Legna and the Nephilim, branded as heretics of the Order. Merrick was surprised by his protege's conviction but also understood this necessary evil required of the Creed – Merrick would slay Legna, who operated against the authority of the Saint that guided the Order's just hand. The two met with their blades, both equipped with the latest exosuit and solar-powered technology. It was a vicious struggle that resulted in the deaths of Legna's Nephilim.
Finally, Merrick and Legna crossed swords and Legna proved the victor, much younger and more dexterous than his old, highly practiced mentor. Upon returning to the ruins of New Haven, Legna was overcome by grief in the great loss of life attributed to Hyperion's growing tyranny of Pandora. Legna, with his new home having been destroyed, decided to wander Pandora as a mercenary – the only life he knew. Throughout his travels, he undermined Hyperion occupation and actively assisted small pockets of civilization left in the wastes of Pandora. Eventually, he heard a distress signal broadcast from Sanctuary, inviting those who sought to fight Hyperion into its walls. However, Legna at the time ignored the broadcast.
With the advent of a new generation of Vault Hunters, Legna decided to turn his nomadic life always on the run from the Order of the Anointed Flame into a life of purpose as a Vault Hunter seeking out these so-called “Vaults” and slaying the Devil Lords lurking within them.

Abilities/Equipment:
Flare Sword:
A Solar-powered longsword; in its crossguard is a solar battery that passively absorbs sunlight and will generate radiant solar energy around its edge, further empowering the blade, refining its lethal sharpness and causing enemies hit by it to be lit on solar-fire, dealing continuous solar damage. It can also be used to castrate wounds.
All-Seeing Eye Implant:
This is a cybernetic implant favored by many members of the Order to discern whether or not someone is being truthful or lying by actively monitoring their heart rate and other metabolic processes for fluctuations that may indicate a truth from a lie or vice-versa. It glows a golden-white ring over the user's iris while active. It has an alternative mode used to indicate hostilities and other useful intelligence based on data collected by the Seraphim Interstellar Network's (S.I.N.) mainframe.
Heavenly Alloyed Light Orbiter (H.A.L.O.):
Against the sides of Legna's forehead are two solar batteries; strips of metal embedded into the skin. Upon activation they project solar energy in the form of a halo at the back of Legna's head. The halo has seven hard-light shards that outstretch from the halo and can be used as mid-long-range projectiles capable of stunning hostile targets and healing allies, simulating the muscles to achieve either affect.
Angelic Apotheosis Propulsion Systems (A.A.P.S.):
The defining feature of a Seraph's exosuit. A state-of-the-art propulsion system developed by Archbishops of the El System – a shadowy circle of the most devoted Faithful who are also craft-masters of all the latest and covert smiting technologies. In actuality it is a large solar battery that can be triggered at-will to “project” what appears to be solar-powered hard-light wings, enabling for flight at average speeds of 50mph up to altitudes of 5m; hidden within is a reservoir of solar power kept under locks by a Solar Output Inhibitor to prevent it from compromising the relative security and shielding provided by the exosuit. Only while the A.A.P.S. is active does the large solar battery serve to power all others, enabling for the exosuit's more weaponized functionality such as the Smiter Cannon and H.A.L.O. Also, with the A.A.P.S. active, the Flare Sword is receiving double its solar stores, allowing for Legna to project small, blade-length solar flares at targets with each swing of his sword.
With the Solar Output Inhibitor released, the exosuit and thus Legna's capabilities are at maximal power. A second pair of solar hard-light wings take shape, doubling Legna's flight speed and altitude capabilities. Also, the Smiter Cannon's Judicator MK-II software upgrade is triggered, enabling for the use of a solar beam. The Flare Sword is overcharged, capable of projecting several solar flare arcs with a single stroke. Lastly, if injured while the Solar Output Inhibitor is released, Legna's suit focuses its remaining solar energy in the creation of what appears to be a solar energy aura that surrounds Legna, multiplying his shield capacity fivefold and inducing cellular regeneration in allies.

Shoulder-Mounted Solar Cannon (codenamed Smiter Cannon):
A cybernetic implant wirelessly connected to the All-Seeing Eye implant in cooperation with the All-Seeing Eye's ability to identify hostilities. Therefore, the Solar Cannon can fire at-will without drawing away Legna's own concentration in the heat of battle. It is capable of unleashing balls of concentrated solar energy, solar irradiating and immolating hostile targets within a 5m blast radius. When upgraded to the Judicator MK-II, the Smiter Cannon becomes capable of unleashing a short-lived, but continuous beam of solar energy that stretches as far as 50m, totally immolating and otherwise destroying its surroundings.
